<allanj> informational graphics is now just graphics contrast

<allanj> Open item 3

'Glenda: There can you see user interface components vs can you see
graphics. User Interface elements SC and a Graphics SC.

Glenda: So and image that is being used as a interface element is in the
Graphics SC.

<Glenda> Changes I made recently are documented here
https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/SC_Managers_Phase1#Version_3_Changes_.28Jan_29.2C_2017.29_Incorporating_Comments_Round_2

Glenda Drops in changes.

<Glenda> A pixel is not a pixel is not a pixel by ppk
http://www.quirksmode.org/blog/archives/2010/04/a_pixel_is_not.html

Glenda: The most important change is every pixel to CSS pixel.

<Glenda> css px

<Glenda> the browser-calculated value of pixels, which may be different
from the physical device pixels. Browsers set the measure of 1px in CSS as
closely as possible to that of the reference pixel which takes into account
the assumed viewing distance. For example, 1px on a TV display at 3.5m away
is much larger than 1px on a phone 30cm feet away. The CSS pixels on a
high-resolution screen create text and objects that are the same size as a
low-resolution screen if they

<Glenda> both use CSS pixels.

Glenda: We add a CSS pixel definition.

<Glenda> User Interface Component Contrast (Minimum)

<allanj> Jim and Glenda will work on select element examples. Glenda will
work on radiobutton and checkbox examples

<allanj> wayne: looking for references.

<allanj> wayne: thinks 0.03 for character and 0.07 for word should be fine

<allanj> wayne: object to b/w and w/b in the criteria, it is an excellent
TEST. but shouldn't be a criteria.

<allanj> gs: chose b/w to keep authors from making mistakes

<allanj> gs: proposed change of 4.5:1

<allanj> wayne: but we need to get around the contrast SC. so any two colors

<allanj> scott: perhaps say pick a single foreground and a single
background color. so user can pick a color.

scott: change the forground and background color to one color each to test.

<allanj> ... use <e.g. b/w) then user b/w in the test.

<allanj> glenda: single foreground color and a single different background
color.

<allanj> changing name - Laura will make a list of proposed names

about LV.
