Re: Challenge: Explain Linked Data

For guidance on the top "ten hundred" words in the English language you might check out a book written by Randall Munroe (of xkcd.com fame), "Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words" (see https://goo.gl/gQUeLu), in which Randall uses just the top thousand words to explain things like a rocket ship and microwave ovens (AKA food-heating radio boxes).

well, apparently – ‘linked’ ‘data’ (and one that I tried..’dictionary’ ) are NOT among the 1000 most used words.

So ‘linked data’ can’t be part of the answer to this puzzle. Will keep working on it.
Great question though, Sarven.

The first one, by ‘soilandreyes’, is a masterpiece. May I re-use it (with acknowledgements, of course)?

studying business IT).

"Linked Data uses the concepts and technologies of the Web to describe
the world."

I haven't checked if it only uses the 100 most used words though.
