Subject : Modular Reuse of Web Knowledge Bases
==============================================

Ontology-based data access is a novel paradigm to access information whose
main application can be found in the implementation of the Semantic Web. A
legacy of well-established knowledge bases spanning from life sciences to
encyclopedical repositories is today available online as the result of a
number of decentralized and coordination-free projects. Reusing both
knowledge and data from consolidated knowledge bases is vital to ensure a
coherent development of the Semantic Web, thereby capitalizing on the
efforts made in the last years by many institutions and domain experts to
publish quality information. The goal of the internship is to study how to
reuse in a modular way knowledge and data extracted from Web knowledge
bases expressed as Deductive RDF Triplestores augmented with existential
rules, a la Datalog+.

The complete description of the internship can be found at

Candidates are encouraged to contact the GraphIK team (mugnier@lirmm.fr,

query.
