I believe there is a mechanism to push/pull VIAF links into Wikipedia. I don’t know if those are then available downstream for processes like DBpedia extraction.

Thank you all for your replies,

I wanted a SPARQL endpoint mainly for linking purposes. However, since the DBpedia links are already there, it would be nice to have them at DBpedia too.

DBpedia already has a dedicated repo for external links [1]. It would be great if you could make a pull request and have them included in the next static release.

Best,

Dimitris

We don't have a SPARQL endpoint available, but the data is available

The VoID dataset description provides additional details:

http://viaf.org/viaf/data

In particular, note the cc:useGuidelines which has a clause for "special
cases":

http://viaf.org/viaf/data/#norms

Further details can be found on our Data licenses and attribution page:

Ah, you have asked the Open World question :-) So you are unlikely to
get a "no" answer.

I think it is unlikely - OCLC have been rumoured to be rather litigious
in the past about people republishing their data.
So people I know have been careful about using it in any way that
implies republishing.

I'm not sure what you want, but if it is linkage you are after, they
have been very cooperative, and have sent me their sameAs data.
It is available in its own store at http://sameas.org/store/viaf/ It is
also in the main sameAs store (where it links to non-VIAF data), for
example:
http://sameas.org/html?uri=http://dbpedia.org/resource/August_Wilhelm_Zu

mpt will give all the VIAF URIs for the dbpedia resource.

Best
Hugh
