ontology for academic disciplines?

suggest a better forum if there is one:

Is anyone aware of a usable ontology for academic disciplines / fields 
of study / methodologies, along the lines of the project described here? 
Ideally it would be either English-oriented or international in scope, 
but do mention anything that comes to mind.
