On the occasion of the Dies Natalis in the Dies Symposium, titled World Wide Web and Social Development Tim Berners-Lee will receive an honorary doctorate in Computer Science for his pivotal role in creating the internet from the VU University (Vrije Uniersiteit Amsterdam).
