I did something that is similar, but in reverse -

Basically:
Use Freebase to author ontologies / classes / etc, and rip out the results
as owl.

In theory it wouldn't be too tricky to

   1. Port it to Acre
   2. Integrate some of the owl:sameAs stuff you've been doing


I haven't really touched it since.


For the converting date formats between models, I'd reach for tools like
GRDDL/XSLT + a scripting language, but those aren't too applicable for you.
