Dear Colleagues, A Semantic Web Special Interest Group (SWSIG) has been created within IFLA (International Federation of Libraries Associations and Institutions). This group is intended to gather library professionals interested in Semantic Web technologies, and to undertake whatever tasks are needed to develop, enhance and facilitate the adoption of semantic Web technologies in the library community. To know more about the SWSIG, see [1]. The SIG has its own Web page hosted by IFLA at [2]. The page will provide news about the activities of the group, as well as information regarding Linked Data and Semantic Web in libraries in general. News from the group can be suscribed via RSS [2]. The group will meet during each IFLA congress for the 3 coming years, starting with the 78th IFLA Congress in Helsinki (11-17 August 2012). If you are interested in joining the group or receiving updates regarding the group's activities by email, please contact me.
