RDFa and EPUB

I wonder if anyone on this list has been tracking EPUB3.

I had assumed that that since EPUB is using HTML5 as its base, putting in RDFa would be a no-brainer. But on reviewing the EPUB draft, I was unable to determine for sure if the RDFa extensions are being included in the spec for EPUB content documents. Although some RDFa machinery is being included, the language used in the draft was sort of ambiguous. I talked to someone on the EPUB development committee, and he was also oddly ambiguous. The @profile and @prefix mechanisms are included, but the value of @profile is hardwired, and the profile itself, which would make clear whether or not RDFa was included, is 404 on the website.

So I'm asking around for what the story is. I think it could be really important.
