Micro theories can be related to epistemology (some micro theories are
epistemic in nature); others reflect can reflect different ontological or
metaphysical approaches.  For example, in some situations it may be
appropriate to reason about a situation using common-sense physics (naïve
physics); in other situations it may be better to use classical or quantum
mechanics.  There may be no fact-of-the-matter as to which theory is correct
(though there may be facts-of-the-matter as to which theories are incorrect.
