So we have JSON-LD where LD means: Labelled and Directed :-)

Hopefully matter closed, since the real goal is aiding the explosion of 
structured data across the Web via a JSON based syntax that could be 
more attractive to a specific Web Developer profile.

Linked Data will be generated and consumed by those who seeks its 
specific benefits. Having a structured data substrate makes the 
aforementioned pursuit exponentially easier.
