Hi Bartek,

Thanks for considering TBX-Basic for ITS.

TBX-Basic originated from the LISA Terminology Special Interest Group (SIG)
which I chair.
http://www.lisa.org/sigs/terminology/

TBX-Basic already went through a public review through LISA last Spring.
The SIG considered and implemented all comments.

TBX-Basic is a Data Category Selection (DCS) that is much smaller than the
default DCS in TBX, and it applies a few additional constraints to the
selected data categories compared to TBX. Aside from these differences,
TBX-Basic is identical to TBX.... that is, it uses the same core structure
(DTD).

The next phase will be to integrate TBX-Basic into the pending ISO 30042
(TBX), as an appendix, showing an example implementation of a TBX-compliant
Terminology Markup Language (TML). We also plan to submit the TBX data
categories into the pending ISO TC37 Data Category Registry.

If the ITS has any specific requirements regarding TBX-Basic, or if the
Terminology SIG can contribute in any way to terminology-related
enhancements to ITS, please let me know.

Best regards,

Kara Warburton
