We could do with your help on the IE related content of the article at http://www.w3.org/International/articles/idn-and-iri/temp.php#work

There is some confusion about how IE works wrt the language preference settings.  The text I used is based on an IE7 blog entry.  It seems as if the rules might be:
- set you preferences to English only, and anything beyond ascii becomes punycode
- set another Latin language and any Latin character is ok

Can you give us more detail on how this works?
