2nd Pass at Survey

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well these past months. It has been quiet on the
mail list for a while, however the requirements document has continued to
go through both refinement and extension. Richard has also introduced a
reorganization of the document structure that I think makes the content
flow much better.

At this stage, the Ethiopic Layout Requirements document only attempts to
raise the questions that need to be put before stakeholders. I am relying
heavily on the separate stakeholder survey to solicit responses and other
input from experts in the publishing industry. The survey document has
also advanced considerably and is ready for review (see links below).

I believe the survey is near a final version. A good way to review the
survey is to take the survey as if you were a respondent to test its
effectiveness and surface shortcomings. Some questions:

   - Are the questions clearly stated?
   - Are more images needed to illustrated the questions being asked? Where?
   - Does the document length present a problem?
   - Is an Amharic translation essential?
   - Any other observations, reactions, defects observed?

I'm assuming an Amharic translation will be needed and volunteers are
encouraged. The survey does not have a one-to-one correspondence to the
questions in the ELReq draft -here I begun worry about the survey length
and getting too technical (or deeper into digital typeface topics). Any
and all feedback and new contributions are of course welcome.

respectfully,

-Daniel
