Yes, re the overall thread, and you summed up my proposal very nicely. I
was pinging because, except for Mati's response, there had not yet been any
substantive discussion of the pros or cons of doing logical truncation
(when the element has text-overflow:ellipsis or string, and has overflow-x:
hidden), and if it does not get discussed, the proposal dies.
