Re: New to hydrus

Hi,

Nice you are interested. You can start by following the guidelines in the
Wiki: https://github.com/HTTP-APIs/hydra-ecosystem-wiki
See "Starting Material". Proposal submission started today, so focus on
writing a good one.

Hey all,
I am a btech final year student from college of engineering Pune, perusing
my graduation in Information Technology.
I am very proficient in both python and flask, also I have worked with web
APIs. I think this project is really cool. I am fascinated by the
possibilities that this project can open doors to.
1. People no longer will have to surf through multiple links to get what
they actually want because of the dynamic web APIs and Knowledge graphs
(LDs).
2. We can get the gist collected from various sources. No more unnecessary
reading or searching.
3. With this huge amount of data that too in machine readable format would
make possible many other features with machine learning.
I’m interested to learn even more about this project and contribute to it
with whatever knowledge I have. I would really appreciate if I can get to
work on hydrus as a GSOC 2018 student.
For now I have cloned the project and played with a little. I have looked
into the main.py, app.py and utils.py . I also started trying to fix an
issue. Please let me know what else could be done to get better feel of the
project and its structure.
Also I am new to FOSS so I have been asking everyone for suggestions and
advice. All the suggestions and guidance is most welcomed.

Regards,
Ankur Singh.
