Best of luck Steve, it was an honour working with you on the editing side. Hopefully we'll get to catch up in other web endeavours!

OMG!! HTML will never be the same without his hand in it, but I know you all will do a bang up job without him. And that might mean that some of us could bug him about other things...:-)

Just kidding....I know you need a life Steve!

Change can-be/is a good thing, right?

Dear all,

as we approach the milestone of HTML 5.3's First Public Working Draft, it is with some sadness that we bid farewell and thank you to Steve Faulkner from our editing Team.

Steve has been working on successive HTML specifications at W3C for a decade, and there are many parts of HTML that have been significantly marked by his work. He edits several other W3C specifications, in addition to his role as Technical Director of TPG, and while he stayed as an editor to help smooth the transition to a relatively fresh team for HTML 5.3, he has decided that the task is in hand and the time has come to step down and focus on his many other responsibilities.

We wish him well, and expect he will not be far away. And especially, we thank him warmly for a decade of service.

On behalf of the Web Platform WG chairs and the editors of HTML, and the successive Working Groups to whom you have provided it,

thanks mate! seeya round...
