RE: Editorial team for HTML5

Congratulations to all the new editors, the team is really very strong,
Even as a freshman here, I know them as well :), they have rich experience in W3C and HTML specification, it is really critical and beneficial to progress HTML5 recommendation work quickly.

Subject: Editorial team for HTML5

The HTML WG Chairs have decided to appoint the following editorial team for the W3C HTML5 specification:

HTML5 editorial team (alphabetical order):
- Travis Leithead
- Erika Doyle Navara
- Ted O'Connor
- Silvia Pfieffer

The Chairs will be announcing the Canvas 2D Context editorial team in the near future.

The Chairs received a large number of applications for the position of HTML5 editor. After evaluating all the applications, we chose the above HTML5 editorial team based on the individual qualifications of the new editors as well as the combination of the individual appointee's qualifications. We are excited about this new editorial team and look forward to working with the new editors.

The Chairs will be convening a meeting soon with the newly appointed HTML5 editor team to assist them getting started on their new responsibilities.

Note that the Chairs and W3C Team are also expecting to appoint a Technical Editor who will work on the HTML5 editorial team as a result of the job posting at:
