We now have a modified Change Proposal for ISSUE-198:
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/Reference_a_W3C_version_of_DOM_Parsing_and_Serialization

At the current time, the chairs are re-issuing the call for consensus on this proposal. If anybody would like to raise an objection during this time, we will require them to accompany their objection with a concrete and complete change proposal.

If no objections are raised to this call by May 1st 2012, we will direct the editor to make the proposed changes, and will only consider subsequently reopening this issue based on new information and a complete change proposal based on the spec's contents as it exists after this change is applied.

I have updated the Change Proposal details indicating that Microsoft has volunteered to edit. Ultimately, of course, the decision of who to appoint to edit is a decision of the chairs. We have volunteered. There may be other volunteers. The chairs might choose to approach someone else. That is their call.

Cheers,

Adrian.

>1) If someone from Microsoft is going to become the editor the "Details" section of the CP is incorrect.
>2) Is someone from Microsoft becoming the editor of that document and publishing that document part of this CP and CfC for this CP or not?

The Chairs would like to recommend that the author of the ISSUE-198 Change Proposal [1] clarify the change proposal to make clear what is being proposed with regard to the editorship and publication of this document.

If and when this is done then the Chairs will restart this CfC.
