The following consensus recommendation of the HTML A11Y Task Force (without objection) is
hereby referred to the HTML Working Group pursuant to the Task Force
consensus procedures at:
http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/consensus-procedures.html

Recommendation: ISSUE-74 Canvas-Accessibility

RESOLUTION: HTML-a11y taskforce supports the proposal
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/canvasaccessibility as a
resolution for ISSUE-74. Note that we *expect* a counter-proposal (based
on image maps) which we would also support, but believe the wider
working group should choose between them.

Final Vote:

On the WBS Survey: 8 voted "Yes"
			2 voted "Yes with changes."

The proposed changes, editorial in nature, were accepted.

100% of Task Force members voting on this recommendation
via WBS voted to support it.

Votes and comments Recorded regarding This Recommendation
which were logged via WBS can be found at:

The Task Force approved this resolution without objection during
its regular teleconference on Thursday 10 June:
http://www.w3.org/2010/06/10-html-a11y-minutes.html

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Task Force notes that the above change proposal
compliments a change proposal to canvas covering keyboard navigation,
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/canvasaccessibilitynonav,
previously approved by the Task Force at its teleconference on 11 March
2010, http://www.w3.org/2010/03/11-html-a11y-minutes.html#item01, and is
hereby reaffirmed as a Task Force recommendation.
