Dear WG,

Here is another issue that needs to be introduced here for discussion,
as it will be added to the issue-tracker in time. This idea has been
discussed within the WG previously. I welcome additional feedback now.
SInce the OBJECT element is now reaching a state of interoperability
in the current crop of browsers, and adding new elements has cross-
browser parsing difficulties, it makes sense to add the MediaElement
and related interfaces to the OBJECT element independent of whether or
not we maintain specialized elements for authoring distinctions (e.g.,
APPLET, VIDEO, AUDIO).

adding media DOM and attribute features to the OBJECT element.[1]

Take care,
Rob
