Title suggestion:
HTML5 for Web developers
(Rationale: get rid of the rathole word "guidelines" and reposition as  
a tutorial/reference work describing HTML5 in an author-readable way;  
call authors 'Web developers' in order to use terminology that authors  
are familiar with when referring to themselves)

Abstract suggestion:
This document illustrates to Web developers how to write HTML5  
documents.
(Rationale: avoid words suggesting that it were a normative document;  
avoid spec words like conformance--only teaching conforming stuff is  
implied)
