This is not the bug you're looking for (it's a WHATWG bug and has to
do with something left-field of the original bug).

The bug you're looking for is Bug 24370 and it's closed.

I don't think MSE is waiting on anything from the HTML WG any longer,
so IMO and if Aaron agrees, you can close your action.
