           Summary: register about URIs defined by HTML5
           Product: HTML WG
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: HTML5 spec
        AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch
        ReportedBy: julian.reschke@gmx.de
         QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org
                CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org,
                    public-html@w3.org

The specification for the "about" URI scheme has introduced a FCFS (first come
first serve) registry for about URIs; the HTML5 spec should probably register
about:legacy-compat, about:scrdoc, and update the definition for about:blank.

Procedure:
<http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-appsawg-about-uri-scheme-07#section-5.2.1>
(essentially: send the template to IANA and you're done)

Registry:
<http://www.iana.org/assignments/uri-well-known-tokens/uri-well-known-tokens.xml>
