http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11778 Summary: downloadable font support missing Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: glenn@skynav.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org As presently defined, HTML5 does not specify any standard mechanism for referring to downloadable fonts. In particular, HTML5 refers to CSS 2.1 WD, in which the @font-face rule no longer exists (in CSS2 it was defined). Indeed, HTML5 does make one informative reference to @font-face, but again fails to refer to any defining specification. In order to support user defined and downloadable fonts, HTML5 should make reference to the CSS3 Fonts Module which defines the @font-face rule. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
