[Bug 12193] It would be nice to hide the html5(html+css+js) code.The visibility of the code makes it vulnerable to certain types of hacks and ofcourse proprietary code which the developer might wish not to share.please consider this request from bugzilla@jessica.w3.org on 2011-02-27 (public-html-bugzilla@w3.org from February 2011)

You can already do this - use HTTP Digest authentication.
