http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10991 Summary: Remove HTMLSelectElement name getter Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson) AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch ReportedBy: cam@mcc.id.au QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org, public-html@w3.org Out of Firefox nightly, Opera 10.62, Safari 5.0.2, Chrome 7.0.544 and IE9b, only Chrome implements the name getter. Is it needed? Can we remove it? It is redundant with the name getter on HTMLOptionsCollection. There are also many more names on HTMLSelectElement that would shadow the named properties compared to HTMLOptionsCollection. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
