For reference, I checked the validator errors on http://google.com/ in detail,
and every single one of them falls into one of the following categories:

- Use of presentational attributes that HTML5 considers obsolete.
- Use of presentational elements that HTML5 considers obsolete.
- Use of unescaped & in URL-valued attributes.

(I did notice bug 9286 in the course of reviewing the errors.)
