Summary: nofollow/noreferrer not allowed on <link>
           Product: HTML WG
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
Component: HTML5 spec (editor: Ian Hickson)
        AssignedTo: ian@hixie.ch
        ReportedBy: julian.reschke@gmx.de
         QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org
                CC: mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org

See <http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/links.html#linkTypes>.

It's unclear why these link relations can not appear on a <link> element (the
same could be asked about "bookmark" and "external", but let's focus on these
for now).

Please elaborate.
