then @longdesc is not link to an "exact equivalent". And I don't believe that
that is what WCAG is saying either. It actually clearl up a lot to keep that in
mind ... If the purpose is to link to represenation in some other format - such
as table instead of diagram, then a rel="alternate" link type might be better.
