http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=6898 Summary: Case shifting terminology is confusing Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: jg307@cam.ac.uk QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org "lowercase" is often used in the spec in a way that means "ascii lowercase". Although it is well defined, people are unlikely to look at the definition since "lowercase" is such a common term. It would be much less error-prone if the spec said "ascii lowercase" when that is what it means. The same applies to the use of the term "uppercase". -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
