[Bug 6493] New: Use encoding of POSTing document for POST response if meta prescan fails

http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=6493

Summary: Use encoding of POSTing document for POST response if
                    meta prescan fails
           Product: HTML WG
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Spec proposals
        AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org
        ReportedBy: hsivonen@iki.fi
         QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org
                CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org

If my reading of Gecko source code is correct, the encoding of the document
initiating a POST should be used when parsing the POST response if the HTTP
header, BOM and meta prescan encoding sources fail for the POST response.
