http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7374 Summary: legend as child of details, figure is unstylable and thus unusable Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: bruce@brucelawson.co.uk QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org Legacy browsers cannot style legend as child of details or figure - see http://html5doctor.com/legend-not-such-a-legend-anymore/ Because of this, authors will almost certainly not use them. Tests re-using caption, label failed (see http://remysharp.com/2009/08/12/saving-figure-detail/). One option is redefining header so it can be the "legend". Alternatively a new element - <description>? <c>? should be specified. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
