Status: Accepted
Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: As others have mentioned, <input type=range> with step="", list="",
<datalist>, and CSS, are the current proposal to address this.

It's possible that we'll have to add more features in the future, but before
doing so we should see how well the current feature is received by Web authors.
