Weekly Resolved & Rejected Bugs Report

Hello Everyone,

Since last week's report we have had:

1 REQUEST FOR HELP with text alternative bugs
1 NEEDSINFO bug resolution
2 NEW a11y bugs reported
1 FIXED a11y bug resolution
10 BUGS AWAITING a11ytf keyword consideration

The details are as follows.

1. REQUEST FOR HELP WITH TEXT ALTERNATIVE BUGS:

I requested help with numerous text alternative bugs related to the
HTML5 Change Proposal: "Replace img Guidance for Conformance Checkers"
in relation to implementing WAI CG's Consensus text alternatives
document and HTML issue 31.
Initial email request:

Thread:

Task Force help would be greatly appreciated, especially responses
from WAI members and those who attended the WAI CG alt meetings last
year.

2. NEEDSINFO BUG:

Bug 8722: "Focus behaviour should be same for canvas regions as for
elements" reported by Steve Faulkner.
Editor's Rationale: "I don't understand. Could you elaborate?"
LC Suggestion: The Bug reporter try to explain further if possible.

3. NEW BUGS:

Bug 9135: "Provide an inline link in the canvas section to the 2d
context spec" reported by Steve Faulkner.
LC Suggestion: As this bug doesn't seem accessibility specific, I'm
not sure if the a11ytf key word is applicable or not. Anyone who
thinks it should be applied please speak up.

Bug 9174: "Consider adding a Webcam example" reported by Laura Carlson
on Steve's Text Alternatives Techniques doc.
LC Suggestion: Apply the a11ytf keyword for tracking as it relates to
HTML WG issue 31.

4. RESOLVED FIXED BUGS:

Bug 9169: "Consider adding a CAPTCHA example" reported by Laura
Carlson on Steve's Text Alternatives Techniques doc.
Editor's Rationale: "I had overlooked the captcha image case. Thanks
for suggesting it."
LC Suggestion: Apply the a11ytf keyword for tracking as it relates to
HTMLWG issue 31. Check the example when it is checked in and
available.

5. BUGS AWAITING A11yTF KEYWORD CONSIDERATION:

It is unclear whether the Task Force has made a decision on whether or
not to officially track the following a11y bugs as a11ytf bugs. There
are no comments either way on the bugs from Michael.
