Re: ODF and semantic web

Hi All,

IMHO inclusion of RDF model in Documents sounds good. Inclusion of
RDFa (module?) in ODF maybe a good solution, but we must consider RDFa
at moment is not a Rec. Talking about RDF from XML, GRDDL is for [1]:

[[

This GRDDL specification introduces markup based on existing standards
for declaring that an XML document includes data compatible with the
Resource Description Framework (RDF) and for linking to algorithms
(typically represented in XSLT), for extracting this data from the
document.

]]

Also can be created a GRDDL profile, and relative transformation(s),
to glean RDF models from a generic ODF 'inspired' and not necessarily
with RDFa but, as we know, use directly RDFa can help.

RDFa, GRDDL or both? There are a lot of variables, not only technical,
and solution can be, as Tim wrote [2]:

[[

Would it be useful to W3C and ODF to meet and plan mutual review of specs?
(If so, who should be in the meeting?)

]]

Cheers,

Simone
