Hi all

the opendata.at map was set up in 2010 to show the growing number of open data catalogs by the OGD Austria (now Austrian chapter of OKFN) - but sorry to say that the map is no longer maintained...fyi: there is just an open G-docs spreadsheet behind...

Datacatalogs.org is based on CKAN and is maintained by several contributors around the OKFN (I am one of them) - and is a collection of all open data catalogs worldwide - no matter if LOD or OD - there is a grouping in place (http://datacatalogs.org/group?page=1) but LOD is not a category - this could be changed (by introducing this category) but lots of the listed catalogs do include some LOD data sets but mainly not linked ones....e.g. publicdata.eu contains hundreds of RDF/LOD datasets but also thousands of not linked as e.g. cvs files...

I think the community directory of GLD could (should?!) become thereby a good point of access for information where such LOD resources can be found - for this the listed vendors, implementors, et al should promote their respective LOD projects there...to establish such a catalogue on LOD implementations.

Best regards! Martin

However, neither datacatalogs.org nor opendata.at are really about Linked Data - most of the open data catalogs listed have no linked data at all.

We can add better visualizations & stats on the deployments but of course, we need vendors to put their "dir.ttl" on a Web server they control and submit their URL to the Directory itself for harvesting.

>>> Hi,
>>> Thanks for iterating the Community Directory Discussion Summary. I offered earlier this month to set up a Callimachus instance on the cloud and put up a prototype of the CD based on requirements you guys drove. I've started that effort by rapidly creating the CD app using Callimachus based on requirements this Task Force creates. To do are review some comments in the page (see below) and style it to look like a W3C app. IF the WG agrees to the proposed approach/design, ideally it would look like it hangs off the W3C domain.
>>>
>>> In the "information collected/displayed" section[1] I've updated with notes about how that requirement breaks down on a web form & the controlled vocabulary. I've marked some things to iterate as "TO DO" for a discussion with the Task Force.

>>>
>>> Note: I'd prefer to avoid a protracted discussion around products/solutions on the WG call. With 15+ technologists & ontologists on the phone, we'll go down a rabbit hole. At the end of the day, a wiki would be an acceptable choice if I didn't know about Callimachus, but I do. We are the a Linked Data WG, so we should be creating triples & showing why this matters & what you can do with it easily, right?
