Re: Dutch City Launches Data Platform

Hi Bernadette,

Open data seems to be really hot at the moment in .nl, I'm not there for
the coming 2 months, so not really close to the fire ;)
I'll look into the details, but from the surface of it it doesn't really
like that much different than things like CKAN.

I'm following it though, and I'm asked to give a talk about open data at
the FD together with the major of Amstedam sometime this year.
I'll grab that moment to hint about linked data for sure !

Of interest to us all in the GLD WG ...

"First of its kind in the Netherlands. Code to be released in April
... The publishing platform has been build using PostgresSQL and the
Ariadne CMS, and will be released as an open source package, so other
municipalities may use it, on April 19th ... From that data server data
sets are published, offering re-users various data formats and methods to
get the data. Unique and predictable URLs are used, so re-users can get
the data the way they want it with one call to the server."

Bart - do you have any intel on this project? Looks really interesting
IMO.

Cheers,
