AW: Canonical EXI - schemaId

John,

Thank you for your feedback.

During our weekly call we decided to follow your advice to remove item 4 from the list.

The change is already implemented [1].

Thanks,

-- Daniel

All,

I recommend removing item 4 from the list. This is not a constraint EXI Options documents MUST respect, so it doesn’t need to be included in this list.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

John

Hi,
the "MAY" was used given that schemaId is optional.
Do you think we should change it to "MUST"?
I am bit unsure how we handle this situation best?
Thanks,

Hi,

Canonical EXI specification [1] in section 3 says:

"A canonical EXI Options document MUST respect the following constraints."

Then, the 4th constraint is:

"4. The element schemaId MAY be used to identify the schema information used for processing the EXI body."

It is using "MAY", therefore, it does not sound like a constraint.

Thank you,
