Dear colleagues,

as you might know or can see at the NKOS website
(http://nkos.slis.kent.edu/), NKOS events should be relevant to your
field of interest as well. A planned special session at the Metadata
conference DC-2008 could be especially attractive, since the conferences
main theme is "Metadata for Semantic and Social Applications". That is
why we want to especially invite you to influence the topics of this
years NKOS events (see the message below) and to consider a participation.

Best regards,
Traugott Koch

Hi all,

as announced and discussed during the European NKOS 2007 workshop at
ECDL, the organizers of NKOS events want to accomplish a better and
broader participation during the preparation phase.

Until February 4 we would like your first input to the NKOS workshop
submission for the ECDL conference.

I constructed a wiki page at the Max Planck CoLab site for gathering of
ideas and comments re the preparation of, hopefully two, NKOS events 2008:

http://colab.mpdl.mpg.de/mediawiki/NKOSevents_2008_preparation

The page can be read by everybody. It can be edited (advices are in the
text of the page) after creating an account on CoLab:
http://colab.mpdl.mpg.de/mediawiki/
Just click on "Log in / create account" in the top right corner.

A first deadline to get the NKOS workshop at ECDL 2008 accepted is
February 15. The detailed preparation and planning then goes on until
the event in September and your further participation would be very
valuable.

Regarding a special session at DC-2008, the Dublin Core Metadata
Conference in Berlin, the main discussion and preparation has to take
place during the next 6-8 weeks.

Please join us and make your ideas and proposals known for this years
NKOS events (in Europe). Of course, contributions can also be send to
this email list or directly to me and other organisers who will have to
include them into the wiki page on your behalf.

Best regards,
Traugott
