Because this bears on the current thesaurus/ontology discussion, I thought I'd post a link to this: http://esw.w3.org/topic/SkosCoreGuideToc/SectionExtending/ConceptTypes ... which is a first draft of a section for the SKOS Core guide, describing out to define extension of skos:Concept, including how to represent 'fundamental facets' in RDF. This is right in the space of mixing SKOS, RDFS and OWL within a concept scheme. Let me know what you think.
