Maintenance of EPUB 3 beyond 3.2

Dear colleagues,

I think that we need a plan beyond 3.2. Without such
a plan, I am afraid that we cannot resolve some issues
in a satisfactory manner.

First, W3C publishes errata. For example, see

https://www.w3.org/Style/css2-updates/REC-CSS2-20110607-errata.html

Errata do not require voting by AC members, even for the maintenance
of W3C recommendations.

Second, W3C sometimes revises published recommendations
and attach "edited in place". I do not know the rules for this
procedure, but it appears to address minor editorial issues.

Third, we might want to publish EPUB 3.3, 3.4, or even 3.1000. Since
the list of core media types is now integrated into the specification,
I think that it makes sense to publish such EPUB 3.n. The Community
Group note status is convenient for such frequent updates.

Regards,
Makoto
