RE: Judiciary open gov/OGP efforts?

Steven, as you may know, I've been encouraging the OGP folks to publish the
open gov plans in StratML format so questions like yours can readily be
answered by XML-enabled query services. My contacts at OGP acknowledge the
logic of publishing open gov plans in an open, standard, machine-readable
format but say they lack the resources to do so. However, that's a lame
excuse since students and open gov advocates would be more than willing to
do it for them if they were simply invited to do so.

In the meantime, the best I can do is:

1) point to the first round of the U.S. agencies open gov plans in StratML
format at http://xml.fido.gov/stratml/drybridge/index.htm#OpenGovDirective;

2) highlight DOJ's plan at
http://xml.fido.gov/stratml/carmel/USDOJOpenwStyle.xml;

3) provide this Google site-specific query
<https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=judiciary&btnG=Google+Sea
rch&domains=xml.fido.gov%2Fstratml&sitesearch=xml.fido.gov%2Fstratml&gws_rd=
ssl>  of the StratML collection on the term "judiciary";

4) copy a couple of my contacts at the US Courts in the event they may have
comments or suggestions; and

5) copy Alejandro Revuelta to offer this as a use case for the StratML
portal that he and his Ximdex colleagues are developing

Subject: Judiciary open gov/OGP efforts?

Are you aware of any judicial branch OGP related commitments in
participating countries?

Or notable open government projects, policy reforms, investments by the
courts/judicial branch in any country?

Links to case studies, presentations would be very useful.

Among my seven presentations in Taiwan next week, is one with some judicial
branch officials. I'd like to add some fresh examples for that audience.

I appreciate any help you might lend. I've worked in the Executive and
Legislative branches before, and on the NGO side but the not the courts.

Thanks,

Steven Clift
