Re: [dxwg] Differentiating Functional & Data Profiling in Conneg (#1022)

If its really important to call a cow a bovine.. profile is more accurate than "method" which doesnt relate the realisation to the abstract at all. Realisation is ugly and crosses into other uses of the word realisation - whereas using the term profiles w,r,t functional specifications has an established history and an ISO spec with the same name.

Note that the WG was informed when discussing "data profile" definition that they were only dealing with a small part of the problem and not one that had any utility or relevance to conneg or a profiles vocabulary. The fact it chose to define a term without a clear understanding of where it could be used doesnt change the underlying requirements the spec is meeting.
