@aisaac - i think you mean the example - not the axiom?  If so fine.

I agree making profileOf have no specific relation semantics doesnt make sense and just entails "everything is a profile" which is clearly unhelpful - which is why we can focus on the specific case where profileOf is transitive and has a semantics as strong as "dct:conformsTo" - which is actually fairly loose.

@agreiner - if base specifications disagree on something - then its up to a use community to define a loose enough notion of conformance these statements can be made - otherwise, irrespective of labelling, those resources do not conform to the modelled semantics of profileOf.  If I wanted to state my car is a lemon it doesnt mean I have to redefine the "functional" notion of lemon in a fruit market.
