This is a rambling discussion as people try to understand - but there is not substantive issue here to address. The actual issue is being addressed at #844 where it looks like it is worthwhile introducing a formalism to prevent all sorts of interpretations being argued without any functional value evidenced for those other cases which could be handled by other vocabularies if required and actually definable.
