I guess it depends on what is considered a contradiction. In BIBFRAME, anyone can create a profile that uses a different vocabulary list for the value of things like subject or material type. And the profiles for specialized formats do that. While there is no actual mechanism for profiles of profiles, two profiles that are [profiles of BIBFRAME](http://bibframe.org/profile-edit/#/profile/list) can be compatible with BIBFRAME but not compatible with each other. So I guess it depends on whether this axiom is limited to profiles of profiles.
