(I'm resending a mail with updated links, please ignore my previous mail at https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-dxwg-wg/2018Nov/0791.html ) Dear all, Jaro and I have worked on a new draft of the UCR doc, with the help of Karen and Lars. Our proposal is at https://rawgit.com/w3c/dxwg/ucr_profile_requirements/ucr/index.html The changes are in the sections on requirements about profiles. The requirements are now aligned with the requirements we've agreed in our Google Doc in the past months [1]. The structure tries to reflect the discussions at F2F4 [2]: - abstract requirements applying to the general definition of profiles [3] - profile functionality [4] - profile distributions [5] - profile metadata [6] - profile and content negotiation (for conneg) [7] At this stage we would like to ask the group, whether these changes would go in the right direction and we could envision publishing a new public draft with this updated content and structure. Of course getting feedback on this tomorrow is not possible (and I have sent regrets!). But if the group could take an action for having a look and giving feedback in the coming weeks, it would be awesome. Note that this is a request for advice on the general structure and mirroring of the requirements in the Google doc. Not for validating every word and every requirement. We are very aware that in spite of all the past work on requirements, there is still some fine-tuning to be done. But that may happen elsewhere and later. In fact we think we will raise attention to some individual items, but we would like to progress without having to solve everything that is already recorded in issues. For example this week we have a question about the wording of wording of RPFNCTERMS [8] if the group has time for it. But that is *not* the topic of this email.
