RE: Formation of DCAT group

Karen,

I'm keen to get more involved, if that was useful. I have some flexibility in the near term on the details of what/how/how much (though clearly my management will have some view on the levels but that's my problem.)

Subject: Formation of DCAT group

All,

Now that we have a set of requirements for DCAT that are complete or nearly so, it is time to jump start the actual writing of the DCAT 1.1 document. For this to happen, we need one or two folks who will take on the task of managing (chairing) this group. These people may or may not also be primary editors, but their key task will be to make sure that the group meets, does its work, and meets deadlines (which we should talk about very soon, preferably at the next call). Without this kind of leadership the standard is not likely to be produced.

Please consider if you would be able to do this, and let us know. The team will be available to help wherever we can, but the energy for this needs to come from you.

Thanks,
kc
