A short 'abstract' of our discussion

Dear all,

I have created a wiki page where I tried to make a summary of our discussion of last week:

http://www.w3.org/community/digipub/wiki/WorkAreas

(This was based on our meeting minutes[1]).

Please, mainly those of you who were at the telco, look at this, amend it, improve it: this is a wiki:-)

_Personally_, and we agree with the list on the wiki, I can see a possible work at W3C around this topic (whether we do something like that or not is, after all, our goal in this short-lived headlight project). It is already clear that setting up a dedicated community group (or 'rechartering' this one) looking at those issues would be perfectly possible and very much worthwhile. I wonder whether we cannot do more, however. Setting up an Interest Group, though being more formal and more complicated to start, might give more 'weight' to this work, and the impression I got at the meeting (and looking at the notes again) is that this extra 'weight' would be very beneficial for the future of ePub. (B.t.w., if we set up such a group, it could be set up 'jointly' with an external organization like IDPF.)

Thoughts?

Cheers

Ivan
